ABOUT Leanne

I am an EMCC Global accredited Coach. My work is non-clinical, and I work both privately and within organizations.

WHAT I DO

I’ve long been fascinated by what helps people navigate complexity and challenge while maintaining a sense of well-being.

Today, I coach individuals to support them in making purposeful and meaningful changes, and progress in ways that matter to them.

I draw on evidence-based research from psychological science to understand the internal and external factors that contribute to long-term well-being, goal attainment, and optimal functioning. I bring a systems perspective to my work, recognizing that challenges rarely exist in isolation; they are shaped by the relationships and environments in which we live and work.

Coaching with me gives you a structured, goal-oriented space to understand what may be getting in your way and develop practical ways to move forward. I bring curiosity, empathy, and a practical orientation to that process. I may ask questions that encourage you to examine your assumptions, consider different perspectives, or see possibilities you hadn't previously considered.

Where helpful, I also integrate assessments and evidence-informed tools to support your learning and development.

WHAT SHAPES MY WORK

My work is informed by professional training and experience, but also by life outside of work.

I’ve trained academically and professionally in coaching psychology and applied positive psychology. Before this, my work spanned talent, people management, project management, and education. Across these roles, my focus has remained constant: people — how they grow, what motivates them, and what enables them to thrive.

In my own life, I've experienced significant life transitions, changes in professional direction mid-life, and the realities of parenting young children alongside a professional life. There have been periods when I've had to make difficult decisions without knowing exactly how things would unfold, reconsider what mattered, and work out what was — and wasn't — within my control.

Those experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the complexity of people's lives, the competing priorities they navigate, and the fact that what makes sense from the outside may look very different from within.

This understanding shapes how I work with my clients — grounded in respect for their individual circumstances and the deeply personal nature of the decisions and challenges they face.

A VALUES, STRENGTHS & ACTION BASED APPROACH

My approach is grounded in coaching psychology and applied positive psychology, with a focus not only on human flourishing, but on what helps people function well, adapt, and move forward when things are tough.

Positive psychology has shaped how I think about strengths and how I coach. Strengths are not simply things we're “good at,” but as qualities and capacities we can draw on intentionally — particularly during periods of challenge and change.

My own work is guided by values* of integrity, depth, and authenticity, and by strengths* including perspective, wisdom, resilience, and social intelligence. These influence how I listen, the questions I ask, and how I approach complexity.

My coaching has a strong orientation toward action. Insight and reflection matter, but change happens through what we do with them. Action allows us to test new possibilities, interrupt established patterns, build momentum, and turn greater clarity and perspective into meaningful change. In my work, I support clients in identifying purposeful actions that are right for them and what they want to achieve.
